Soup & Bread Supper Time Change
On Ash Wednesday, we will be providing a Soup & Bread Supper that was scheduled to start at 6:30PM. We have moved back the time so that it now starts at 6:00PM to allow more time to eat. So come a bit earlier and enjoy fellowship while eating a delicious supper.
We're Seeking a Part-Time Director!
We have been very aware of the fact that we have been attracting more young families to First United Methodist Church. For example, if you were here for the Christmas program on December 18, you saw a lot of young people up in front helping to tell the Christmas story.
In response, the Ad. Board of the First UMC has decided to hire a part-time director of family and children's ministries. This person's primary responsibility would be to develop new programs for the children and families of our church. We are looking for someone who:
- is a commited Christian
- has a love for children
- is self-motivating and creative
- is able to work well with others
- has some experience/education in working with children and/or program planning
- will attend First UMC on a regular basis and support its mission and ministries
- is able to work 15-20 hours per week
