“He was wounded because of our rebellious deeds, crushed because of our sins; he endured punishment that made us well; because of his wounds we have been healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) Each year, the people of Mt. Sterling gather together to celebrate in wonder and awe, the hours in the life of JesusChrist while he was here on earth. Good Friday marks that day when our Savior suffered and died on the cross for us. As the prophet Isaiah foretold more than half a century early, our spirits are healed by the sacrifice of Christ. We invite you to come and join us Friday, April 3, at 7:00pm, along with others from our community (and beyond). As usual, our community choir will perform. This service is coordinated by the Mt. Sterling Ministerial Association and a special offering will be taken that evening to help them with their work.
