Mission
Because of our belief in the importance of Christian education and support for the children of the church and the community, First United Methodist Church strives to provide opportunities for children of all ages, stages of faith and interests.
We welcome participation, ideas, enthusiasm and love of our children from all the members of our church family.
Sunday School
Our children’s Sunday School meets after the Children’s Time during the worship service. Children ages 3 through 5th grade are encouraged to meet upstairs at that time to enjoy a Bible lesson followed by activities.
Teachers
Our teachers rotate on a weekly basis and have found the materials very easy to use. If you would like to consider joining us in this important ministry of the church, why not sit in on a session, contact the church office for more information, or leave your name in the church office? Because of the numbers of volunteers, no one is teaching more than once a month unless they want to. Of course, the more volunteers, the longer the rotation schedule becomes.
